Valdosta, GA – AT&T (NYSE:T) will award $10,000 to support the mission of The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County (CAC). The funds will allow the agency to continue providing quality child abuse and prevention services to children in Lowndes and surrounding counties. The local delegation was present to extend its support of the CAC, as well as their gratitude to AT&T for giving so generously to the CAC and in turn, to the children of the community.
Senator Tim Golden says, "Our children are our future and we must protect them from harm and help them heal when harm has occurred. Our local Children's Advocacy Center staff and their team of agencies work hard each day to ensure our children are cared for. My wife, Ellen, and I have supported the CAC for years and appreciate those such as AT&T who support the initiatives of such a great program." Ellen Golden is a former Board Member and Board Chair of the CAC and currently serves on the state board for Children’s Advocacy Centers of Georgia.
“In today’s fast-paced world, technology is a vital component to the success of nonprofit organizations,” said Courtney Brinson, AT&T Regional Manager for External and Legislative Affairs. “Personally seeing the benefits of technology being used at organizations such as The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County demonstrates the increased need to support such efforts. AT&T is pleased to be able to assist in this way.”
