Georgia Realtors Group supports Golden re-election
October 23, 2006 -- Atlanta, GA -- State Sen. Tim Golden (D-Valdosta) has received the support of the Georgia Association of Realtors in his candidacy for re-election to Senate District 8. The organization cited Golden’s “long record of support for private property rights and the free enterprise system.”

Georgia Association of Realtors President Judy Presley wrote in a letter to Golden, “Your conservative leadership was particularly valuable in this year’s effort to reform eminent domain. You once again demonstrated your commitment to common-sense public policy by working with your fellow Senators to come up with the best eminent domain reform legislation in the country. Your commitment to public service in the Georgia Senate is an inspiration.”

“I am very pleased to have the support of the Georgia Association of Realtors in the November 7 General Election,” Golden said. “As long as I am in the State Senate, I will vote to protect private property rights and the free enterprise system.”

Golden has also been endorsed for re-election by the Georgia Association of Educators, Georgia Nurses Association, Medical Association of Georgia, National Federation of Independent Business and the National Rifle Association, among others.
