Georgia doctors endorse Senator Tim Golden
September 18, 2006 - State Sen. Tim Golden (D-Valdosta) has received the endorsement of the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) and the Georgia Medical Political Action Committee (GAMPAC) in his candidacy for re-election to Senate District 8.
“Tim Golden has a long and impressive record of supporting legislation that sustains and improves the way medical doctors can take care of our patients,” and William Clark III, M.D., of Waycross, who will be installed as President of MAG on September 30.
Benjamin H. Cheek, M.D., chairman of GAMPAC, in a letter to the Senator, cited Golden’s “continued leadership and commitment to promoting the health and welfare of all citizens across the great state of Georgia. We at MAG understand and greatly appreciate your hard work and unwavering dedication to your constituency.”
Golden had previously been endorsed by the Georgia Nurses Association. He also received the Georgia Hospital Association’s Legislative Leadership Award and was recently recognized as a Champion of Family Medicine by the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. |
